Helping Alpine Intel grow across its businesses

As companies add services and acquire businesses, customers may know only part of what they offer. Helping those customers use more of the company’s expertise can create new growth within relationships the business already has.

Alpine Intel serves insurance companies, alongside law firms and corporate clients. Through acquisitions, Alpine has brought together specialists in property assessments, forensic engineering, automotive investigations, and fraud investigation.

Making more of Alpine available to customers

Alpine’s range of services created an opportunity to help customers with more of their claims needs. A carrier that knew one Alpine business might also need expertise elsewhere in the company. Capturing that opportunity meant making the wider range of services easier to discover and engage.

Automotive claims offered a place to begin. An adjuster may need to understand what happened in an accident, whether the vehicle holds useful data, or which investigation would answer an unresolved question. Alpine has specialists who can help. The customer needs a clear way to choose the service and start the work.

Bringing expertise into the claims process

Alethia worked with Alpine’s operators to build a guided customer application on Alethia’s software and connect it with Alpine’s existing operating systems. Alpine’s specialists helped shape the questions, service guidance, and steps needed to carry a request into delivery.

The experience begins with the customer’s question about the claim. It brings together vehicle information, accident details, available evidence, and the carrier’s rules to help assess whether retrieving the vehicle’s event data would be useful. Service explanations help the customer understand the options and what each investigation can contribute.

The application also brings additional services into consideration, including scene documentation and accident reconstruction. Assessment connects with ordering, authorization, and case status. The claim information stays with the request as it moves into Alpine’s service workflow, giving the customer a way to follow the work.

A clearer way to engage Alpine

The work brought claim intake, assessment guidance, and case visibility into one customer experience. An adjuster can review investigation options, provide the information Alpine needs, and follow the request. Alpine can introduce more of its expertise during a decision the customer is already making.

That creates a way to grow an existing account. A customer who comes to Alpine for vehicle data can also consider related services that help answer the claim question. Explaining those services within the same experience makes the broader business easier to understand and gives customers more reasons to engage Alpine.

The connection also matters for delivery. Carrying the customer’s information into the service workflow gives Alpine’s teams the context for the work. It supports coordination between the requesting carrier, the specialists producing the findings, and the engineers reviewing them. Better coordination can help Alpine handle additional work while managing the effort and cost of delivery.

    Growing beyond automotive claims

The automotive application is the first step in a broader opportunity. Further applications could use Alpine’s evidence and expertise to support fraud investigations, deepen accident analysis, and assess service providers. Connecting service activity with pricing and costs could help Alpine improve margins and develop new reports or intelligence services for customers.

Connecting finance and operations would help management compare demand with the people and resources available to serve it. Weather information could guide when to add, reduce, or move field technicians. Changes in legislation could reveal new customer requirements and opportunities to develop services.

For Alpine, the opportunity is to grow existing relationships, reach new customers, and sell more of the expertise it has assembled. The automotive work shows how to begin: bring that expertise into a customer decision and connect it with the work that follows.
